Meet the TTI SI Team: Research & Product Development

Want to get to know the people who work on Research & Product Development? Here's a peek into the personalities and lives of our team.

DR. RON BONNSTETTER

070722_DrRonSenior Vice President of Research & Development

What's your DISC type?

High D - Direct

What's your top driver?

Intellectual

What do you do at TTI SI?

My primary focus is improving TTI SI assessments by applying his patented cognitive neurology brain mapping while clients take our assessments.

What's your favorite thing about working here?

TTI SI is more than a job— it is a path to personal growth and a lifelong journey of self-improvement. A love of learning is a daily motivator and this includes learning about self.

Who are you outside of work?

My hobby is collecting hobbies— playing the Native American flute, bell, and didgeridoo, creating latte art, and working in music therapy among many other activities. In front of my desk at the present are two and a half octaves of wine glasses, all tuned and ready for practice.

DR. ERIC GEHRIG

081122_DrEricVice President of Research & Development

What's your DISC type?

High D/ High C - Direct & Precise

What's your top driver?

Intellectual

What do you do at TTI SI?

I apply my knowledge of mathematics, statistics, logic, language, and research to help understand the science behind our assessments and help advance our assessments, products, offerings, and more into the next century.

What's your favorite thing about working here?

My favorite thing about working here is optimization. While my dissertation may have ended in algebraic combinatorics, my studies started in the fields of optimal control theory and differential geometry. Nearly everything in nature and the universe is optimizing something and nothing lives in flat space, and I get to apply that knowledge to our assessments.

I enjoy the people and working atmosphere…one of the reasons I initially took this position was because of how much it reminded me of a research faculty position without the requirement to teach.

Who are you outside of work?

I served on active duty in the USMC and after the end of my obligated service, I attended Arizona State University earning my B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. (2007) in mathematics. My dissertation formulated a geometric control problem in the language of Hopf algebras and algebraic combinatorics.

My hobbies include camping, hiking, and fishing.

DUSTIN HEBETS

081122_DustinCognitive Behavioral Research Analyst

What's your DISC type?

High D - Direct

What's your top driver?

Intellectual

What do you do at TTI SI?

As our Cognitive Behavioral Research Analyst, I work with Dr. Ron in the Cognitive Behavioral Research Lab a.k.a "the brain lab".

This is where we incorporate EEG (electroencephalogram) technology and software into our validity and reliability research, as well as perform studies relating to cognitive & behavioral neurology. I also help work on general research products that focus more on our psychometric assessments.

What's your favorite thing about working here?

I'm passionate about the study of human behavior, social psychology, and interpersonal communication, which means I enjoy a lot of the work I get to do with TTI SI because we focus on all of those things.

I'm motivated by my drive to understand humanity, truth, and personality (which I define as what makes each of us unique). I believe it is my duty or responsibility as a human being to be able to really see someone for who they are without judgment.

I also strive to serve those who are in need of help, when it's asked, to meet where they are, and connect with them in a meaningful way.

Who are you outside of work?

I love my beautiful wife, my fat dog, and all of my close friends and family. I also love hiking, camping, being in nature, meditation, reading, and learning new things.

I use intuitive and insightful questions in order to glean critical and complete information, working to improve everything I do. These skills and attention to detail help me reveal human potential not seen by most in every client interaction and training I facilitate.

What's your favorite thing about working here?

I'm focused on investing in others to help them become the best version of themselves. Working with individuals and organizations to better understand their own unique set of talents and skills has been a lifelong passion of mine. My fulfillment comes from seeing others find their true passion and being able to live out a life of joy.

At TTI SI, this is demonstrated through assisting partners in creating analytics that can exponentially take their clients' organizations to a new level of engagement and success.

Who are you outside of work?

I love spending time with my family! I'm a mom of two, and a proud Nana of two pretty incredible grandchildren. In the last few years, I've taken up pickleball to stay competitive and seek out new friends.

My life-long goal has been to stay fit and healthy—- I live by the philosophy of setting an example of what is possible through a deeper understanding of oneself and a drive to be true to yourself in every aspect of one's life.

What do you do at TTI SI?

I am a research scientist. This position entails the analysis and construction of statistical and theoretical validation arguments for the TTI SI instruments. Additionally, my role is to, along with Dr. Eric, provide developmental structure to all TTISI assessments.

Put another way: my role is to ensure that every TTI SI instrument is properly developed and appropriately represents its intended purpose in both theory and statistically.

What's your favorite thing about working here?

I am passionate about helping people become their best selves. TTI SI is a vehicle for this because the assessments help bring a spotlight onto the aspects of persons that help to define and shape who they truly are.
